My primary purpose for this blog is being able to vent about what is going on in my life, and try to process some of those things with the feedback of others. Whether it’s work, relationships, past struggles, or just a cool vacation I went on, I want to be able to candidly share my experiences and use this blog as my little outlet.
I came up with the name “Elastic Heart” because of the song by Sia. After one of the worst experiences I have ever been through, I heard that song come on the radio and something about the words really resonated with me. Since then, even though they rarely play it on the radio anymore, I have heard it come on at least 2-3 other times when I was struggling; it’s become my lucky/survivor song, and the lyric “You did not break me, I’m still fighting for peace” became a mantra for my life (I almost got it tattooed on me in 2015).
